1950's ULYSSE NARDIN VMens Large Vintage Chronometer Dress Watch - 14K Gold
Big & Beautiful - Dramatic Bull Horn Lugs - 1 Year Warranty
From the fine Swiss firm Ulysse Nardin... We are pleased to offer this uncommon and gorgeous Ulysse Nardin chronometer wristwatch, a very distinctive example of one of their vintage watches made for the U.S. market. It's large for a dress watch, measuring just over 35mm in diameter without the crown - almost the size of a Rolex Datejust! This is watch that won't be missed when it's on your wrist. The 14K gold case is just short of mint. The silver dial is near mint. And the very precise chronometer movement adjusted for temperatures is especially clean. Note that since the photos were taken we have installed a new mineral glass crystal which gives even a clearer undistorted view of the edges of the dial. The movement was serviced less than three years ago. Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate. Ulysse Nardin:
Ulysse Nardin is best known for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments often used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.

Timepiece's Finer Points:
Dial: Silver, gold applique baton and Arabic markers, outer gold minute track, near mint Crystal: Mineral glass, mint condition
Case: 14K gold, original, unsigned (many of their American-market watches were in unsigned cases) bull horn lugs, two body, polished, beautiful mint minus condition, 35mm wide (excluding crown) Band: Crocodile, fully stitched, padded, brand new and unworn
