Made.circa 2000..Fine, self- winding, stainless steel wristwatch with round.button chronograph, date, registers and tachometer..Dial, case and movement I MAY HAVE THE GP BUCKLE AND AM TRYING TO FIND IT ~ Girard Perregaux is the best, tied with only A. Lange & Sohne. The watch was offered with a cream color dial or this black dial, which is much rarer. In all, GP made around 300 of the 1999 chronographs. This is number 8X. Steel case is 38mm by 13mm with long curving lugs, domed sapphire crystal, display back with sapphire crystal and pump style chronograph pushers. Signed crown. Girard Perregaux makes its own cases and movements and their attention to detail is evident. Black dial with applied arabic numerals and large sword hands, date window between 4 and 5 o’clock, and tachymetre scale at the periphery. Three sunken subdials with concentric guilloche: running seconds, 30 minute chronograph totalizer and 12 hour totalizer. Movement is the automatic winding in-house Girard Perregaux manufacture Caliber 3370, With 63 jewels and beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this is a high-end movement.
