This extremely rare piece from my collection is made for the Birks fine jewelers of Canada by the big company that starts with an "R" and ends with an "X" watch company of the 1930s. This example shows considerable wear but presents very nicely on the wrist. Sadly the case back shows considerable wear as well but can be saved if you know a good plater. Also called the Doctors watch it is large for this era in watchmaking to make it easy to read at a quick glance and for counting beats. I apologise to all who are interested in this watch, I've been asked several times if this watch runs? Please allow me to clarify... Yes this watch runs and it keeps excellent time as this watch has been faithfully cared for over the decades.
