All Original Angelus Chronodato, Manual, Gents Dial: Original beautifully aged dial with a antique parchment effect. Month aperture window at 12 o'clock and day aperture window at 6 o'clock. Minute and second tick markers around inside of outer edge with Day numeral markers beyond. Large chrono subdials with all functions working as they should. Gold minute, hour hands and chrono sweep hands and date hand tipped with red arrow design. Case: Stainless steel case with integrated lugs. Snap back lid signed Angelus and numbered 231558. The presence of the Angelus logo demonstrates this to be an earlier model of this Chronodato watch. Inside lid marked 'Angelus Watch Co., Swiss'. Movement: Signed Angelus Cal 217 movement recently serviced. Introduced in 1942, this was the world’s first chronograph with a full calendar (day-date and month) and due to these features, it became highly popular among consumers, and now, collectors. Age: c.1940s Band: Brown lizard strap with silver buckle. Size: (Diameter without crown): Huge 38mm Other: Large unsigned silver crown. Quite a stunning and very collectible watch Ref.
