Only 12 were ever crafted for this limited edition timepiece created exclusively for CBS.  Given only to CBS' key employees  and a handful of A List celebrities featured on CBS' top programs. - this is the exact same watch that LL Cool J was given (as photographed receiving it from Waldan International CEO, Andrew Waldan). The black band is made of genuine crocodile and is from Italy. No expense was spared in creating this one of a kind timepiece.
The CBS-branded watches, a rare special edition of the Chronograph Chronometer model series will include only 12 pieces, each feature a 38-millimeter rose gold case with a series of multicolored enamel dials. The watches are powered by Waldan's variant of the cal. ETA/Valjoux 7751 automatic winding movement. The movement boasts a 25-jewel system. 42-hour power reserve and operates at 28,800 vph. Waldan’s 7751 allows a wide range of complications such as a rotating moon phase, triple date (full calendar) apertures, chronograph with minute and hour recorders and a GMT indicator. Waldan International even acquired color inks that match the exact pantone of the iconic CBS logo to hand-paint all the Arabic numerals and hands. The numerals were then hand-applied by the watchmakers, while the CBS eye was printed onto the enamel near the three o’clock marker. 6 “When focusing on its aesthetic, my vision was for it to be a powerful representation of CBS Watch!, which meant the design should be classic and strong in its own right,” says Andrew Waldan, president and CEO of Waldan International. “I believe it represents the versatility of CBS, considering that CBS represents not only TV, but film and print through Watch! Magazine as the movement we decided to use is a classic, versatile and longstanding movement in the industry. The 7751 and Valjoux series of movements have one of the finest track records, and some series variants powered watches by companies such as IWC, Omega and Rolex. We think the timepieces we’ve created are a work of art and mechanical ingenuity that celebrate the timeless appeal of classically designed wristwatches. It’s certainly a special way to celebrate the magazine’s milestone.” “Our goal for this project was to create something symbolic that represents the quality, legacy and tradition of not only the CBS brand, but our own,” said Jeremy Murphy, General Manager, CBS Watch! Magazine. “We used to joke that everyone thinks we’re a watch magazine anyway, and this was an ode to that. I was blown away by the craftsmanship, attention to detail and the great care and consideration Waldan put into all 12 time pieces, which proudly represent the CBS logo.”
