This GORGEOUS Alsta Nautoscaph Superautomatic is quite rare indeed.  It has been carefully restored by Liljenquist and Beckstead in Washington, D.C.The case measures 35-36 MM wide without the big screw-down crown and 40 mm with it. Top to bottom measures 46 mm. Friction rotating bezel has diver markings and has no real signs of wear with original black type face still on it. Original black dial with bright lume markers and hands. The dial is very sharp and reads Alsta 17 jewels, Superautomatic Incabloc Certified 999 FT and Swiss Made. Hour, minute and second hands have been carefully cleaned of patina. Crystal in nice shape also with date magnifier. Back reads Automatic, Stainless Steel, Antimagnetic, Swiss Made, Water Resistant, 52007, 999 feet, 30 ATM, Nautoscaph. I can see only two minor marks on the back. The back is very sharp and is consistent with the rest of the watch, just minor signs of use on the case also. Everything seems to be original and in nice condition. Swiss automatic runs and sets well and has a big reserve of power. Lastly, a nice Tropic canvas diving strap compliments the watch very well. A later model of the Alsta Nautoscaph was worn by Richard Dreyfuss in the movie Jaws, showcasing the presentability and functional excellence of this line of watches.
