Universal Geneve Okeanos Moon Chronograph Stainless Steel Men's Watch 899.124 Description: The company was founded by Numa Descombes and Ulysse Perret in Le Locle, Switzerland, year of 1894. The company created its first two patents in 1925, one of which was Universal Geneve's first self-winding wristwatch. In 1927, the company created the Cabroilet watch which featured an 8-day power reserve. The Uni Compax chronograph watch of 1936 featured a 45-minute counter. The company's name was changed from Universal Watch Co. to Universal Geneve in 1937. It continues to make precise and innovative watch models during the WWII era and in 1954 created the Polerouter which was the first watch on the first flight from Europe to the U.S. crossing the north Pole. 1966 marked the year that the worlds thinnest self-winding watch was created by Universal Geneve. 9 years later the company created the worlds thinnest analog display quartz watch. In 2005, the company launched the Okeanos and Anthea models of watches for men and women, respectively. The company continues to create magnificent models and achieving high rewards and the Basel World Conventions. The case is crafted in high-polished stainless steel with satin finish on the sides, case diameter is 42 mm (excluding crown and pushers), height is 13 mm, slightly domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, Water resistant up to 5 atm / 50 m, screw-on case back with exhibition see-through sapphire window showcasing nice mechanics of the movement, pull-out crown.
