Jacques Gevril was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, where he began to earn his reputation as a renowned master of technical watchmaking. In the beginning of his career, he helped to restore and repair various timepieces. He branched out and began creating his own unique watches in 1743, the year he created his first Chronometer. Gevril’s work continued
