This is a rose gold A. Lange & Sohne Double Split Rattrapante Flyback, 404.032. It has an alligator leather strap with a rose gold tang buckle, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, and a pull-out winding crown. It has a screw-down exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, and rectangular chronograph pushbuttons, including another pushbutton on the band at 10 o'clock to activate the split function. The 43mm diameter solid three-body case, rounded bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. The dial is silver with applied radial rose gold Roman numeral and faceted baton/dot indexes, luminous rose gold alpha hands, and a center sweep chronograph hand. There is a minute/second track with white Arabic numeral markers every five minutes, and an outer tachymeter scale to 400 UPH. There is an up/down 38-hour power reserve indicator arch at 12 o'clock, a white subsidiary dial for constant seconds at 9 o'clock, and a double 30-minute register at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 25 meters/90 feet, and the 15.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical manual winding A.Lange & Sohne caliber L 001.1 movement is made of Glashütte 3/4 plate in German silver, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 40 jewels, including 4 in screw-mounted gold chatons, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance with eccentric poising weights that's adjusted to 5 positions. It has a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, a swan neck micrometer regulator, a hand-engraved Lange balance bridge, and a hacking seconds mechanism. It is also equipped with eccentric poising weights instead of inertia screws, and the movement oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The A.Lange & Sohne Double Split Rattrapante Flyback, reference 404.032, debuted in 2005, and it's the first mechanical watch to offer a flyback chronograph with a double rattrapante feature, which allows for comparative measurements of up to 30 minutes. Both chronograph hands can be instantly reset to zero by pressing the push piece at 4 o’clock; when it's released the chrono sweep-seconds hand restarts immediately.
