Incredible, oversize c1949 vintage gent's luxury chronograph from ITA Geneve. This is New Old Stock in mint condition! All 18k solid gold watch with long lugs. Several stamps and hallmarks for gold content, 18 karat, 0.750 -- case itself is all solid rose gold -- chrono buttons and crown are plated. Flawless dome crystal. Stunning original salmon & gold dial, fully signed, never refinished. Features gold Sword hands, dual guilloche registers, mirror-gilt Arabic numerals and blue Tachymeter track. The pics are the best description, please view them. The watch is "mint", in that it's unsold, undamaged New Old Stock. But, there are a few age speckles on the dial & hands-- it's impossible for any 60+ year old item not to have some such signs of natural aging*. Again, I refer you to the pics, which are zoomed high-resolution specifically for this reason. Anything you see on the case is only a reflection in the gold or a shadow: there are no dents or other damage. Running strong on its Swiss winding Landeron cal. 51 chronograph movement with 17 ruby jewels and antimagnetic protection. Serviced in 2014 and keeps great time. Stopwatch function starts, stops and snaps back on reset with perfect alignment. Being NOS, the movement is bright, super clean, and in looks like it was made yesterday with 99% original finish. See pic. As with anything vintage, accuracy cannot be guaranteed and regular serviced is recommended. This is a big men's watch (considered oversize in its era) at 40mm without crown, 47mm lug to lug. In a rare exception to other vintage pieces, this is the same size as most men's sport watches today. It also wears large on the wrist due to its slim bezel/large dial design. Comes as pictured on genuine, fully stitched 20mm Crocodile leather band in pink to compliment the pink gold case. I had nothing but compliments over the single day I wore this for testing, but I understand pink may be too bold for some people's taste. So, I can exchange the pink to a dark brown Croc band with a slightly different grain pattern at time of sale - just leave me a note if you want that instead. This is, bar none, the finest example of the classic gent's Gold Chronograph watch I've ever come across, and is all original, like-new condition. The original leather had dried and cracked in storage so the band is the only aftermarket addition. Please view pics carefully as they show the item you will receive and describe the condition.
