Description   This  watch is in very impressive condition. It is  guaranteed running and keeping time Issued between 1930-34, the  Hamilton Flintridge solid gold rectangular was offered with a movement choice of 987 17j or the 19j 979. This watch has the 979 19j movement.
Many watches have been harvested for gold melting, there may not be very many of these left for collectors.

The  case is nice and smooth not showing much wear .  Some very light micro fine scratches from use and some extremely tiny pin-point nicks on the cover lid.... very minor flaws.
This Flintridge will include the correct factory box and vintage Hamilton signed pigskin leather strap with 14 k solid gold Hamilton signed buckle...total length 7 1/2" - 8". The box looks allmost mint!
The case back and cover lid are still very smooth with no dedications/presentations, monograms engraved ( very unusual for a Flintridge); the inner case back is factory stamped  and marked 14 K    serial # 154411.
The cover lid has matching numbers. The hinge button and lid spring operate perfectly.
The glass crystal is excellent.    The Silver dial is excellent. It  features  luminous numerals,   luminous  hands are also excellent . this dial is more than likely refinished because it looks very new. The luminous does still have glow on hands and dial. However, this dial job is expertly done right down to the luminous inlay.

This watch is powered by a 19 jewel  979-F movement serial 2929277  in  perfect  working order .I never use exaggerations..... However, this is a fabulous example worthy of a significant collection!
