Extremely rare and fine solid 18k white and yellow gold, guilloche and hand painted enamel watch. Circa late 1920s/early 1930s. Look closely at the stunning guilloche and hand painted true fired enamel scene. I took photos using different light sources and viewing angles so you can see how the guilloche presents itself differently. The enamel scene is 100% original to this watch - not a later addition. Everything is appropriately signed.Everything about this watch is special and of the highest quality. The original two part case is hinged and also features finely engraved sides and an engraved winding crown. The case, dial and movement are all appropriately signed Glycine and the case is also properly hallmarked.Although designed as a man's watch in the 1920s, this stunning watch could fashionably be worn by a woman. It is an unbelievable and stunning example.The tank style case measures 38 x 23 mm excluding the winding crown; the lug width is 18mm. I installed a brand new dark blue strap that compliments this watch perfectly. The watch is fitted with a mechanical hand wound 17 jewel Glycine caliber 4628 which is adjusted to two positions and temperature - very nice movement.In summary, this is a gorgeous piece of horological art and a very special and rare watch.
