1750…. The watch-making industry emerges in the small town of Morteau, main city of Doubs county in the Franche-Comte region. Complimentary activity practiced in winter by farm workers, intensifies significantly at the end of the nineteen century: structured workshops start appearing, the watchmaker is replaced by the workshop worker and in no time this industry becomes the key to the region is one of the most active French centre in the watch-making industry. Today, this know-how developed and transmitted from generation to generation is perpetuated in the workshops of the Yonger and Bresson factory. Its president, Pascal Bole, has gone beyond the dreams of his ancestor, Jean Bole who, in 1832, founded a school of watch-making in Morteau.   Yonger & Bresson is in the watch-making industry since 1975. The reliability and performance of its automatic watches has established its reputation. The group Ambre, owner of the brand, has decided to add a new dimension to it by creating an in-house movement. The ambition of Yonger & Bresson was to propose a good quality automatic watch at an affordable price. It has taken Jean Paul Boillot, production manager, two years of research to develop this self-winding movement called “Ambre” that offers a new collection made up of 6 lines.
