Up for auction is a gorgeous Sterling Silver Half Hunter World War I Swiss Made wrist watch. The maker is unknown. It is in spectacular near mint condition, considering its age and that it could have been in the war. I can no hairlines in the porcelain dial although there are a couple of tiny superficial marks that can only be seen with magnification. The case is extremely find with no dents or dings, although the screw off back has a tiny compression mark. Barely noticeable, as seen in the photo, and I mention this only to be completely accurate. The movement is extremely nice. The screw heads are very sharp and the movement is bright and shiny. There are a couple of scratches on the winding wheels, apparently from a careless repair person. The serial number and sterling marks are all present, and the age can be determined by the hallmark. I would say the period from 1914-1918, although it is only a guess. Please ask questions before bidding. This is a stunning example of this WWI wrist watch, that shows very little wear whatsoever. A must for the collector of fine WWI military items or watch lover. I have put a high starting bid on this watch, as I believe you would be hard pressed to find a similar watch in this condition.Payment is due within 48 hours of the auction ending.
