This fantastic 1940's -1950's vintage Breitling CHRONOMAT chronograph in another outstanding watch from the depths of my collection. It is an authentic and beautiful vintage watch in excellent condition that has obviously had very little wrist time in its life. The gold plated case is 38 mm in diameter without the crown. It is in excellent condition with no major dings, dents or scratches and only minor signs of wear. The silver dial is original and not repainted. The hands are original and show no signs of corrosion.The crystal is flawless. The Angelus 217 caliber movement is correct, signed and beautiful with no signs of corrosion. It runs strong, keeps time and the chronograph and calendar features function correctly. I do not know when the movement was last cleaned and oiled, but it would likely benefit from a service if you intend to wear it on a daily basis.This watch comes on a new high-grade padded and stitched genuine leather strap with a silver tone tang buckle.
