Who are we?S Michlmayr & Co Ltd is a family run business situated in the heart of Norwich.We specialise in watch and clock repairs and our team of qualified watchmakers, clockmakers and technicians have the skills to undertake all types of horological work from the finest quality precision watch to the manufacture and restoration of the largest timepiece.Simon Michlmayr, a Fellow of the British Horological Institute and second generation watchmaker, founded the company in 1986. He followed in the footsteps of his father who established his clock and watch business in 1958. Having been raised in the traditions of this skilled and historic craft, by the time he started studying horology he had already acquired a vast wealth of experience in both watch and clock making.The company has now established a reputation nationally, providing horological services to individual members of the public, trade customers, public and private sector organisations, cathedrals and churches.Our watch and clock repairs are carried out in our purpose built, modern, spacious and well equipped workshop and all of our staff are Swiss trained or time served.We carry out repairs to all types of watches and pocket watches for private and trade customers, specialising in vintage watch repairs.We are Rolex & Omega approved, including vintage and co-axial models.Why buy from us?1. We are not just an internet trader: we really exist. We have a showroom and watch servicing centre where we employ 5 horologists and a full customer services team.2. All watches are covered by our full 12 month guarantee.3. All watches supplied by S Michlmayr & Co Ltd are full overhauled (see below) unless otherwise stated• Movements are dismantled and all parts thoroughly cleaned.• Any worn parts are replaced with new ones, the watch is then re-assembled before being lubricated and tested.• We only use genuine spare parts and if a part is obsolete, we will manufacture it on site.• Cases are ultrasonically cleaned and polished/re-grained as necessary.• Finally the watch is fully regulated and tested.4. We buy quality used watches and clocks as well as sell them and we are happy to consider part-exchanges on all our stock.5. If you are in the Norfolk area please come and see us – no appointment is needed, just come and look for yourself.
