Up for sale: This is a nice Illinois 14k sold white gold consul watch. It has the 21 jewel movement and a pinstripe dial and engraved white gold bezel. From my research I gather this was a pricey watch in its time. I'm sure if your looking for a watch like this you know all the details and history around it. I think it sold for over a hundred dollars in late 1920's or early 30's. Quite the sum for a the times. The case is stamped 14k and the watch was serviced in late 2014 and put back in my box of baubles. I have refrained from any polishing as I wanted to maintain this watch's nice patina. Its keeps pretty decent time for its age. I've decided to convert all of my "stuff" to cash to buy new flooring for the wife. This is a rare watch and from looking at all the forms concerning the consul watch, the pinstripe model, seems to be one of the hardest to find.
