I am usually a vintage watch guy, but this watch caught my eye in a way no other new watch has in the last 10 years! What a beauty!! It has everything a collector looks for in a great timepiece. First of all its UNUSUAL which is huge in my books. When was the last time you saw a sport model watch, or any watch for that mater with the crown on the left side of the case (yes, I know they exist, but they are rare). This watch is "meant" to be worn on the right wrist which is cool in and of itself, but for all of us used to wearing our watches on the left, this just means we don't have a big crown poking into the back of our hand all the time. It actually looks awesome on the left wrist, and at 42mm in diameter works even better for me on my relatively small wrist then a normal right hand wind watch of that size. Second, its just plain a FANTASTIC LOOKING sport/tool/dive watch. I love the deep black dial with "pie-pan" style beveled edge, the cream color "vintage looking" luminous, the bold shape of the hands, the beautiful matching bezel, the cool roulette style black/red date feature and the red printed Pelagos on the dial which I think completes the vintage/heritage look to perfection. Third important feature is its high quality IN-HOUSE movement. If this had an ETA movement within I would not even have considered it, but this Tudor designed and manufactured beauty is a great looking mechanism and with 70 hour power reserve and a certified chronometer rating, a home run. Lastly, but not least, this is a NUMBERED EDITION, which is not necessarily "limited" (from what they have told us so far) but I cannot see Tudor making endless amounts of these. This one is numbered in the 170's and I love the fact that this adds a sense of individuality to the particular watch that you own. There are many more features that make this watch awesome, but these are the ones that I think over time will set it apart from the rest. NOW...you may be wondering why I am selling a watch I obviously just bought and am in love with so here it is, why not be honest! As a long time secondary market watch dealer I have some pretty good connections so I do get a bit of a deal. SO... I figured if I could make a little on it now, then hope to get another before stock runs dry, why not? I do think these could be very hard to find by the time Christmas rolls around as supply is very low right now, so if this watch is your special someones hearts desire, well, we all win.
