Spectacular Gagarin Tourbillon Second Generation of this watch that was built to commemorate the first Russian, YURI GAGARIN to orbit the World in outer space. This model was made to commemorate the 50th Anniversary. The floating Tourbillon rotates around the World every 108 minutes, the same time taken to orbit the Earth in the "VOSTOK CAPSULE". Limited Edition of 50 Pieces. This model was featured in "Time and Watches Report, with very high definition shots showing all the functions of this amazing watch. The price did exceed the expected CHF estimate of 270,000 (Platinum)  and was $317,000. This watch is in perfect, unworn condition, simply a display model. Comes with spectacular oversized polished burr walnut "hydraulic" box, hardbound manual and papers. Features are a rotating orbital Flying Tourbillon cage with a hinged magnifying glass made of synthetic diamond. Triple barrel delivering a total power reserve of 80 hours. The crocodile strap is double faced. The picture of the Cosmonaut is of Yuri Gagarin taken in 1961 after he returned from his famous space flight.
