Louis Erard started his adventure manufacturing watches in the Swiss Jura in 1931. Worked very succesfully in Europe until the 1980´s, after that family conflicts affected seriously the company until about a decade ago when it was sold to a group of investors leaded by Alan Spined - ex Swatch group- . Louis Erard's mission is to offer fine Swiss watches - mostly mechanical- at reasonable prices appealing to people who appreciate intrinsic value instead of intensive marketing. The brand is mostly know in most of Europe, Asia and Eastern Europe but besides that their expansion has been limited by production capacity.Today we have a gorgeous watch from the the 1931 collection: 1931 Moonphase automatic. This watch is very attractive because it comes with a complicated movement based on the famous ETA 2824 with a Dubis Dépraz complication. Almost exactly the same movement is used by other manfacturers - Baume & Mercier for example - demanding a much higher price for very similar watches.Size is a contemporary 42 mm, sapphire glass in both sides and a matching blue stripe make a very high quality and striking piece!We can ship this beautiful watch worldwide via FedEX or DHL.
