C52 Vintage Aquastar Seatime ref. 1000 in fantastic original condition. Aquastar is a Swiss brand of watches specialized in diver's watches. Aquastar patented an ingenious type of crown which allowed both winding and rotating the inner diving scale without the need to do anything more. Aquastar is a Swiss brand of watches founded in 1962 in Switzerland. This independent firm, with its own factory, specialized in diver's watches and other diving equipment. It has patented a triple function crown as well as other patents relating to diving and nautical sports. Aquastar also introduced the Aquastar Regate, a watch that was later "adopted" by Heuer. Some Aquastar watches were used by Cousteau and its team. http://www.aquastar.ch/en/index.asp The diameter of the barrel shaped stainless steel case and stainless steel screw back is 39,1mm not including the crown. Full length is 45,3mm. It is 19mm wide between the lugs. Specifics of this model: 1 - diver's technical watch with an unique crown that can wind the watch and set the time and, most thoughtful, can also turn the bi-directional diving scale. 2 - Incredible condition and everything well preserved. 3 - Vintage watch, not a recent re-edition. The reference number in the back: 1000 The serial number in the back: 3060539 cosmetics dial: The dial looks quite fantastic, I would say it is in excellent condition, but judge for yourself - see the pictures and make your own opinion. hands: the hands are in excellent condition - see the pictures and make your own opinion. case: All stainless steel case. It has not been polished in any way to make it look better. The original finish is well preserved. The Aquastar Logo in the back is incredibly well preserved and detailed. It looks in very good/excellent condition - see the pictures and make your own opinion. Movement: very nice condition - see the pictures and make your own opinion. The crystal: is plastic / Plexiglas. It has no ugly scratches, no cracking and no glazing, only very light scratches, almost not visible - see the pictures and make your own opinion. the crown is original with the Aquastar logotype. The unbranded rubber bracelet is in good condition despite some oxidation of the buckle. But the bracelet is not the subject of this auction, it is a gift that goes with the watch. Inside the watch: Swiss made, high quality 17 jewels, A. Schild automatic movement, Rhodium or chromium plated. Service history: Not recently serviced. I had to take the watch to a watchmaker to open the case and that was the only thing he has done. If it is not stated that the watch has been serviced recently you would better consider a revision by an expert watchmaker, no matter how good the test results may look.
