FP Journe Centigraphe Souverain, Platinum on an Alligator Strap with a Platinum Tang Buckle, Manual Wind FPJ Caliber 1506, Foudryonte Display at 9 O'Clock, Chronograph can time intervals of 1/100th of a second making it possible to time an object moving at 360,000 km/hr, Sapphire Crystal, Display Back, White Gold / Silver Dial, 80 Hour Power Reserve, Diameter: 40mm, Thickness: 10.5mm, Like New with Box and Papers.
This is an 18K platinum FP Journe Centigraphe Souverain. It has a leather strap with a matching platinum Tang Buckle. The solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and rounded bezel are polished, as is the lever at 2 o'clock, and the winding crown. It has a sapphire crystal lens and exhibition back secured with 6 screws. There is a foudryonte display at 10 o'clock, and the chronograph is capable of timing 1/100th second intervals (or an object moving 360,000 Km/hour, while the lever starts/s tops, and resets the chronograph. The dial is white gold/silver with blued steel Journe hands and black painted radial Arabic numeral index markers. A raised trio of silver guilloche subsidiary displays includes the 1-second aperture at 10 o'clock, the 20-second at 2 o'clock, and the 10-minute at 6. Each has a time scale in red, and a tachymeter in black. It has an 80-hour power reserve at full wind without engaging the chronograph, and 24 hours with the chronograph running. The dial, case, movement, and bracelet are all signed. The manual winding F.P. Journe caliber 1506 movement is gold with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 49 jewels, 259 components, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic 4-arm balance with 4 timing weights that are adjusted to 5 positions, and an anachron self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at 21,600 vph. (3 Hz). F.P. Journe received the “Aiguille d’Or” at the 2008 Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix for the Centigraphe Souverain, as well as the “Watch of the Year” on Timezone.com. In 2009 it won the “Best Technique Innovation Watch” at the Champions of Time competition in China.
