The Chronometre Sovereign masterfully demonstrates the versatility of his style and reveals a watchmaker at the top of his game. The watch draws its inspiration from the timing of marine early 19th century. It is an antithesis of complicated watches. Two superbly executed illusions forge the special nature of this new work. Francois Paul Journe attaches special attention to the aesthetics of its time-pieces. In my opinion, this is a very unique and complicated watch. I love it !! The hand-wound mechanical movement of the Centigraphe indicates elapsed time from 1/100th of a second to 10 minutes, visible on 3 dials, each with a time scale controlled by a start/stop switch on the case. As a hole I would place the Centigraphe in the section of very special superlative chronographs... A very impressive timepiece, both visually and mechanically".... F.P. The "Centigrahpe"is a Foidroyante that does just that(like all other Foidroyante chronographs). The difference here is that the Centigraphe can stop the counter between any of the six 6th of a second transitions. The scale is set to 100 increments that the hand of the Fondroyante can be stopped at any time.
