Buttes Watch Co. of Buttes, Switzerland Swiss Timepiece Makers 1775-1975, they sold watches in England under the name Butex... mainly pre war to people who wanted an accurate watch when driving. This is one of several brands who made their mark in the 20th Century by making watches for the new market in racing cars so as cars became faster and more people owned higher performing vehicles they would race and then they would need timing.... Butex was one of those watchmakers.This si a lovely watch in as new condition.. akin to the Heuer Camaro this is a case I really haven't seen used by any other vintage watch company. Not huge, 36mm across but honestly it looks very very cool on the wrist.. reverse Panda as they say with a great dial handset... Landeron 48 movement and lat 60's chamfered edged case... comes on a textured leather strap that totally matches its glossy look. Comes in a linen ATG box and is a very rare and very coool McCool piece...
