Josip Broz Tito was WW II military commander of Yugoslav national army that opposed Hitlers Germany and local Nazi collaborators. He was appointed by National Communist Party as life time president and supreme military commander of the Yugoslavia and has held this position until his death in 1980. His reign is considered to be one of the most prosperous periods on Balkan peninsula.
