DE GRISOGNO INSTRUMENTO DOPPIO TRE A watch in triple time Now de GRISOGONO has reinterpreted the ingenious principle behind INSTRUMENTO DOPPIO in a new creation with a very cosmopolitan spirit. INSTRUMENTO DOPPIO TRE has three time zone displays: two on one dial and one on the other face. Mechanical ingenuity. All these displays work with a single movement, a single barrel. The movement has more than 300 components. It was assembled by master watchmakers, as befits its Swiss Made label, and has been subjected to a vast number of quality controls. Fawaz Gruosi has also redesigned the watchface with a new geometry, more angular and distinctive, and created a rather more slender case than that of INSTRUMENTO DOPPIO. The result: a design of great character that, with its unique functions and style, will prove irresistible to a discerning clientele. Sophisticated structure Square case with slightly arching sides, strong lines that are also amazingly fluid, a beautiful interplay of angles and curves, convex sapphire glass following the shapely profile of the bezel: Just glance at the INSTRUMENTO DOPPIO TRE and be impressed by its boldness and originality. But this exceptional timekeeper has other surprises in store. Another mark of distinction is its highly sophisticated construction, which itself bears the designer jeweller's unmistakable signature. The watch consists of two main parts: a base in the form of a «cradle» in which sits the mobile case. A wheel at 12 o'clock releases the case. Just lift to make it pivot on an axis at 6 o'clock, then «reseat» it in its cradle, and screw the wheel back. It's just like tossing a coin. As you do so, don't forget to admire the inside of the mirror-polished cradle and its personalised «de GRISOGONO» signature. Perfect in every detail, even the most intimate: a craftsman has taken almost three hours to hand-polish these curved parts that are so difficult to access. Tails, angular elegance With its additional module entirely developed by de GRISOGONO, the first dial of INSTRUMENTO DOPPIO TRE displays both a double time zone and the full date in a window at half past seven. The two time zones are displayed on superimposed counters, neatly nesting inside one another and surrounded by an elegant square « rail ». This highly geometrical design is beautifully echoed in the shape of the case. The arabic numerals, horizontally and vertically along the main display, enhance the dial's unique appearance. The contrasting materials in the smooth central zone and the wavy guilloché-work outside give a dynamic touch and catch the light. The main time zone is set using the crown on the case at 3 o'clock. A corrector below this crown allows the hour hand of the second time zone to be adjusted.
