General Description: What is being offered for sale is an antique 15-size 15-jewel stem-stem-set chronograph pocket watch by Ulysse Nardin. See the photo gallery for details and condition, which is VERY GOOD. Note that the watch is adjusted to temperature and two position. The watch is complete and functional. The movement appears to be all original. The case/movement combination is unquestionably original. The diameter of the case is 51 mm. Casemaker & Composition: The maker of the case is Ulysse Nardin – as signed. The case composition is gun-metal. Note that the reflector (in the bezel), hinge, bow, and crown are gilded. Monogram: The case has no monogram or personal inscription. Thus, it can be used for a presentation piece. Case Condition: There are no dings or dents or significant scratches – see photos. The case hinge and covers are not damaged and they are in good working order. The “glass” crystal is new-old-stock. Dial/Hands: The enamel dial is PERFECT – there are cracks, chips, or hairlines. The hands are also PERFECT. The dial and hands are very likely original. Operational: I don’t know when the watch was last cleaned and lubricated, but as is, it is ticking nicely and the balance has a good strong motion in all positions and is true in both the round and the flat. The watch is likely keeping time to within a couple of minutes per day. Note that the watch was wound and timed (dial up) for 30 minutes and gained 2 seconds. The functions of the chronograph are operational; however, the gears are a little sluggish when activated – this can be seen visually as the gears move into position. The push piece that starts the chronograph needs to be gently pushed a second time to engage the gears. In spite of the sluggishness everything is fully functional. Of course, the sluggishness indicates that the movement needs to be cleaned and lubricated. Winding/Setting: The winding and setting mechanisms are fully functional.. Guarantee: The watch can be returned for a refund of the bid amount if the seller is notified within 14 days of receipt (as determined by Delivery Confirmation) and the watch is in the condition shown in the photos. It is important to me that every customer is 100% satisfied. Thus, I will do whatever is required to make sure that each and every customer is pleased with ALL aspects of the transaction. Payment and Shipment: All payments should be received by me within 10 days after the auction has ended. However, since I have a “no question return policy” and if the buyer is unable to make payment, he can simply cancel the auction without any consequences.
