Jacques Gevril was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, where he began to earn his reputation as a renowned master of technical watchmaking. In the beginning of his carrer, he helped to restore and repair various timepieces. He branched out and began creating his own unique watches in 1743, the year he created his first Chronometer. Gevril's work continued in 1744, when he built his first Repetition Dial. He cemented his legacy as a great watchmaker in 1758, when he became the first exporter of Swiss timepieces, which was a result of a special request from the King os Spain to craft the royal's personal timepieces. The Gevril legacy of fine fine and luxurious watches continued beyond the life of Jaquets Gevril, thanks in large part to his children, In 1784, Jacques' son, Moyse Gevril, became a master of creating fine timepieces, As a result, the Gevril business continued to expand, specifically through the integration of enameling and dial creation into the manufacturing of their watches. Today, the company continues to produced some of the most elegant and elite watches in the world. however, many Gevril watches are also considered to be collectors' items, thanks to their historical value. It has a Silver Guilloche dial, Black Berguiet style hour hands at center. Black Roman numerals with black minute track around the outer rim, three Arabic numeral sub-dials displaying Year with LPR at 12 o'clock positions, Day of month at 3 o'clock position and Date of week at 9 o'clock. Moonphase dial at 6 o'clock position. Hidden pushers accessible with special tool. anti-resistant sapphire crystal, engraved signed, gold- solid caseback. Signed - GERVIL with logo. Screw down crown, back signed and numbered. Black Leather Strap with signed yellow gold Gevril Tang Buckle....Released a total of 50 all metals.
