This is a unique, limited edition Eberhard Chronograph, assembled in the early 80's, manual winding, which appears to be using an "Extra-Fort" case with a rare, #146HP Les Ponts de Martel movement. The movement was used by Eberhard in the 50's, as is stated on the engraved stainless steel back. The rest of the case appears to be yellow gold, or plaque d'or (sometimes called vermeil, gold plating over 0.925 sterling silver) but is not marked as such. The back is engraved with edition designation, serial number, and total production run number (165 of 499) and the initials MG in an open area designed for engraved initials. This rare hand-winding movement runs immediately after winding, and keeps good time. All chrono functions, and pushers, operate as they should. The case is 37 mm w/o crown, and 42mm with crown. The condition of the case, and white porcelain dial, is very good, as is the condition of the gold-tone hands and markers. The bezel is engraved with a speed calculating ring of numbers used for timing moving vehicles. There are three small sub-registers at the 9, 3 and 6 o'clock positions. The first sub-register, at 9,  carries a continuous second hand; the one at 3 is a 30 minute accumulating register, and the one at  6 is a 12 hour accumulating register. There is a centrally mounted sweep second hand for accumulating seconds during the chronograph function. The round pusher at 2:00 PM is the start/stop pusher, and the pusher at 4:00 PM is the reset pusher. The crown is original, and carries a centrally mounted black onyx stone. The watch is fitted with a high quality brown leather band, with 18mm lug ends, designed to be used with a deployment clasp, which is fitted. The band has a leather leaf fitted under the deployment clasp to keep its locking surface edges off your wrist. The deployment clasp is stainless, but is finished in gold tone. The band is not new, but shows very few signs of use on its inner surface, and none at all on the exterior, and is not deteriorated in any way. Comes with a beautifully polished wood generic box from European Watch Co. No papers, but guaranteed authentic.
