Keeps time accurately and chronograph functions properly.This watch is one of a series issued in recent years by Eberhard, a leading European watch brand, especially in Italy, to honor legendary Italian racing driver Tazio Nuvolari, a 1920-30 champion. The watch bears a small gold turtle logo on the dial, at the 9 position (a mascot symbol associated with Nuvolari) and his signature is engraved on the steel back of the watch. This is a chronograph with start/stop and reset modes, and has a screwdown crown, and a back held in place by 8 screws for water resistance to 30M. The face of the watch is black, with white luminous Arabic numerals at 1-5 and 7-11, with large diameter sub-registers at the 6 and 12. This watch runs perfectly and all timing functions, including the chronograph pushers and settings are operating as they should. The degree of water resistance was originally guaranteed to 3 atm. (about 45 psi) by the manufacturer, but has not been checked. The watch permits time-taking to 1/5 sec., up to 30 minutes in one sub-register and 12 hours in another, has a km/hr tachometer scale on the dial, and a miles/hr tachometer scale engraved on the bezel. The automatic chronograph movement is shock resistant, antimagnetic, has 25 jewels, and a glucydor balance wheel as well as a micrometric index regulator for fine adjustment of the watch rate.
