A lovely Vulcain Cricket manual alarm water protected watch circa 1953 in mint condition Vulcain Cricket, manual alarm watch in mint condition. The size of the watch is 34mm x 42mm to lug tips, original GP base metal case with stainless steel snap-back, original silvered dial with applied gold indices, 17 Jewels, triple signed, appearing unsold with sticker on back. The movement is in excellent condition, beautiful incabloc, no oxide, dial and hands mint. Original case shows hardly any wear, one lug with very minor plating bubbling on edge, retaining its original Vulcain sales sticker, good crystal. Signed leather Vulcain strap. The movement, case and crown are signed Vulcain. Mint condition. Vulcain & Studio SA was founded in 1858 in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Vulcain was the first to introduce mass produced alarm wristwatch in 1947. It was named the famous "Cricket". Then Vulcain introduced the "Golden Voice" representing the first alarm wristwatch for ladies. Another Vulcain launch was the waterproof alarm watch, the "Nautical" in 1961. In 2005, Vulcain introduced the Imperial Gong tourbillon. Technical details Vulcain Cricket with US Patent 2644294, 17 jewels, beautiful incabloc, no oxide with almost no sign of wear.
