Very rare Eberhard model / version.A special feature is the hack mechanism; the watch stops when the crown is pulled to time setting mode. This allows better precision when setting the time.This is a massive, heavy watch, that should be worn on a strong / wide wrist. Not on a small wrist. It is heavy, due to the solid stainless steel case and the thick sapphire glass crystal from the „Extra-Fort“ line. The watch case has not been opened (I do not have the tools), and I will sell it, as is, in this nice condition. It was not very easy to find info about this watch, and to describe it, but finally, here we go... : And „let the photos speak“, as well... Manufacturer: Eberhard & Co. SA, Biel and La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. (Registered trademark from 1946.) Year of manufacturing: Ca. 1997 / 2002. Measurements: 4 cm without the crown (40 mm). Lug to lug: 5 cm (50 mm). Lug space: 2 cm (20 mm). Model: Drivers Watch: Automatic, Date. Limited special edition „Extra-Fort Special“ watch case with circular brushed screw back. 30 meters water resistant. All stainless steel. Color/tone/metal: „Staybright“. Movement: Eberhard Automatic caliber. Center second and date. Power reserve: ca. 48 hours. Case: All stainless steel case and back. Extra-Fort series. Sort of straight double lugs and double bezel (if you look very close) that add to the sporty character of the watch. Marked on the case back: „3 ATM WATER RESISTANT“, „EBERHARD & CO.“, „ALL STAINLESS STEEL CASE AND BACK“. Crown: Replacement?, marked „4“. (It is not a crown with a „E“ for „Eberhard.“, and has a slightly different metal tone/color.) Dial: Dark blue with polished chrome indexes for the hours. Polished chrome hands for the second, hour and minute. Center second, date, and tachymeter index-ring. Marked „EBERHARD & CO.“,„AUTOMATIC“, „SWISS MADE“. Crystal: Thick sapphire glass. Stile / Character: Simple „Drivers Watch, GT / GTS“ without sub dials. But with a tachymeter index around of the dial. Sort of straight double lugs that add to the sporty character. Watch strap: Genuine padded crocodile leather. Stamped on the back side with the Eberhard trademark „Eberhard“, as well as, with „Genuine Leather“. The stainless steel buckle is marked with „E & C“. The small leather loop (that is across the strap) for inserting the end of the strap is broken, and has to be replaced. Condition: Watch case with minor, light scratches. Sapphire glass crystal with two deep scratches in the lower part. Also, with a view very light scratches. Watch strap: the small leather loop (that is across the strap) for inserting the end of the strap is broken, and has to be replaced. Otherwise the end of the strap will stick out, and the strap will come unloose, and the heavy watch would fall off the wrist. So, make sure that the pin of the buckle stays in place.
