I believe this to be a very rare item. The consensus of opinion on the mybulova.com website is that it is a model 602 from 1960. If so, it is from 1960, the first year of manufacture of the Accutron and came in the extraordinary packaging you see in the photographs. Again, I've been told that only the first production batch(s) had this case. The watch is 18ct gold, which makes it even rarer. The strap is not original. I haven't tested it because this involves putting a modern replacement battery in it and I'd like an expert to tell me which of the many on offer I can trust. The Perspex case hinge has broken otherwise it's all intact and fits into the cast aluminium tuning fork stand. For the lucky buyer there is also a documented 'life and death' story associated with the watch (the story not the watch!) The only other unusual thing about it is that it has no second hand and I can't find a picture of another like it.I have selected eBay shipping but think that I should discuss shipping options with the successful bidder, so please hold payment until we have done this.
