Amazing and beautiful Century Time Gem watch made in Switzerland.

This watch is the same as the famous H.Stern sapphire cased watches released in the 80s and still an icon today.  The H.Stern watches were manufactured for them by Century, and this watch is of the same design and quality but sold under the manufacturer's own label, possibly in a country where H.Stern did not have a presence.  They are especially popular in Japan. The watch's unique feature is its synthetic but genuine sapphire case.  The watch is built around a solid 18K gold case back, inlaid with a semi transparent panel.  The case back incorporates solid 18K gold lugs with 2 genuine diamonds at each lug.  It is screwed to the case with 8 screws for 200 feet water resistance, although one screw is missing, so treat the water resistance with suspicion.  See pictures for more details.
The dial in this example is a lovely mother of pearl, unadorned except for the Century logo at 12, and the gold dauphine hands, indicating hours and minutes.  This is definitely a dress watch so it does not sport a second's hand.  The dial bezel is set with 48 genuine, bright diamonds. The case and crystal are a single unit, being created from faceted sapphire crystal for extreme hardness and scratch resistance.  In the light, this watch truly sparkles.  The dimensions are approximately 27/28mm across whilst being about 6mm thin. The watch sits on a black lizard strap which shows the slightest sign on wear, although there is some residue on the back - see  pictures.  I'm sure this will come off and was probably a sticker at some point. The buckle is also solid 18K gold and branded with the Century logo flanked by a further 8 diamonds.I believe the watch would have retailed for close to $10,000 back in the 1990s.Please message me with questions.  No bidders with less than 10 and 95% feedback without prior approval.  Such bids may be removed.I will only send this watch fully insured, so postage costs reflect this.  The watch is located in Australia, and can be shipped to most countries. No box or papers.
