ANOTHER SUPERB AND RARE VINTAGE DESOTOS CHRONOGRAPH WATCH FIND FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE!!I AM A 100% POSITIVE EBAY SELLER SINCE 2002-PLEASE BID/BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!! OFFERED TODAY IS THIS WONDERFUL LATE 1960'S 'DESOTOS' PANDA DIAL VALJOUX 7730 CHRONOGRAPH WATCH BY CHARLES GIGANDET, THE OWNER OF WAKMANN AND DISTRIBUTOR OF BREITLING IN THE USA. IN GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION.A WATCH FOR THE COLLECTOR, OR THE VALJOUX CHRONO ENTHUSIAST.CASE:This is a lovely 2 piece screw back stainless steel and gold plated/tone ROUND case. It is in excellent original condition, showing as you would expect some plating wear and light scratches and nibbles to the case edges here and there. The case is marked to the back with all the usual claims about waterproofness and antimagnetic etc. Unusually this case back is numbered 2100. The case back SCREWS on as it should. This is a lovely original chronograph watch case. The case measures a large 3.8cms (38mm) across excluding the crown and pushers. DIAL:This superb watch has the most lovely 'Panda' dial. The dial has a beautiful white background and black 'Panda' recording sub dials. The dial is signed 'Desotos' '17 rubis incabloc'. The dial has excellent gold hands and subsidiary dial hands. The stop watch centre second hand is gold with a gorgeous red tip insert. The hands show very little wear and are excellent. The dial has matching gold metal baton numerals.MOVEMENT:This fantastic retro chronograph wrist watch has a superb clean VALJOUX 7730 chronograph. It is in full working order and is running well. All of the pushers work as they should (some plating loss to the pushers) and the centre hand snaps back bang on to twelve. The movement winds and sets smoothly showing no undue wear. It keeps good time as tested over a 24 hour period. This beautiful movement has just been serviced by my watchmaker at great cost to me. The crown is original, is unsigned and shows some wear. The plastic crystal is brand new and as such is in excellent condition.BAND:I have fitted a BRAND NEW black genuine leather 20mm band to this lovely wristwatch. As it is new it is in minty condition and has not been worn.
