Lange & Sohne caliber L901.0, big date, power reserve indicator, small seconds, champagne dial with applied yellow gold toman numerals and index markers, display back, diameter: 38.5mm, thickness: 10mm, sapphire crystal, water resistant to 3 atm, Like new with original box and papers, which are stamped but not dated. The watch was worn 2-3 times maximum. This is an A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1, reference 101.032 101032, the first watch debuted by Walter Lange in 1990 after resurrecting the company after the reunification of Germany. It has many of the traditional components that identify the Lange craftspeople as the earliest and greatest horolgists in Germany, including the signature, patented oversize date, the German silver ¾ plate, the precision whiplash index adjuster, and the house-mad e beryllium enhanced balance spring patented in 1930. This manual winding, 18K yellow gold wristwatch is one of the most acclaimed of the new era, as well as the product of 200 years of ingenious Saxon ultra-precision watchmaking. The inspiration for this watch is the Dresden Semper Opera's five-minute digital clock. The Lange 1 has a sapphire crystal display caseback with screws. The dial is silver with 18K gold applied Roman numerals and hands. The signature double date window also has gold frames. There is an offset main dial with a small seconds subdial at 5 o'clock, and an up/down power reserve indicator on the far right that indicates the status of the wind of the twin mainspring barrels, which are relatively rare in wristwatches. It oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, and fully wound provides 72 hours of power. A quick date-correction push bar is at 10 o'clock on the side of the case. The Lange caliber L901.0 movement contains 53 jewels, a straight lever escapement with a monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, and a shock absorber. The leather strap has an 18K yellow gold Lange buckle and the case, dial, and movement are signed.
