This fantastic and rarely found 1950's vintage Wittnauer triple date chronograph is another outstanding watch from the depths of my collection. It is an authentic and beautiful vintage watch in excellent condition that has obviously had very little wrist time in its nearly 60 year life. The solid stainless steel case is 34mm in diameter without the crown. It is in excellent condition with no major dings, dents or scratches. The silver dial is original and not repainted. All 6 hands are steel.The crystal is flawless. The Valjoux 72C caliber movement is correctly signed. It has no signs of previous repairs or corrosion. It runs strong, keeps time and the chronograph and calendar features function correctly. I do not know when the movement was last cleaned and oiled, but it would likely benefit from a service if you intend to wear it on a daily basis.This watch comes on a new high-grade padded and stitched black lizard grain genuine leather strap with a silver tone tang buckle.
