De Bethune started to its watches in an atelier style, almost 'tailor made' watches of highest elegance and refinement, and with a focus on the best possible finish. Without doubt, they make some of the finest watches in the world today. Right now they are making roughly 200 watches per year and have plans to ultimately finish 1200 watches per year in the future. For this relatively low number, they make quite an effort. Almost all of the movements they use are manufactured in-house. For so few watches, they already have an extremely impressive collection to offer. All of the DeBethune wrist watches in this style are made in precious metal cases made of gold or platinum and have the characteristic ogival lugs. The dials are guilloched by hand. The movements are also entirely hand assembled. The featured watch describe is a Swiss made DeBethune DB8WS1 in polished Three-body, solid 18k White Gold round, ogival lugs, case measuring 41.5mm diameter. Fixed bezel. Manual winding movement, power reserve up to ± 30 hours.. Displays a Black guilloché gilt center engine-turned dial, Breguet Gold tone numerals, Gold tone feuille hands, markers, indexes, sweep center of seconds, Arabic numerals, outer calibrated 1/5th seconds ring, Arabic fifth divisions, outer minute track and chronograph divisions on plain reserves, at outer rim. Subsidiary 45 minute register at 6 o'clock, winding crown with coaxial chronograph button crown, Sapphire crystal, solid caseback. Brown leather Strap with 18k White Gold Buckle. The winding crown, coaxial Single button chronograph is for the operation of the 45 minutes register. Powered by the DB5008 manual wound movement which is housed in its 41.5mm 18k White Gold case.
