SUPERB VINTAGE OMEGA SEAMASTER CALENDAR AUTOMATIC WRIST WATCH IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION,UNRESTORED STAINLESS STEEL CASE,EXCELLENT ORIGINAL DIAL, SWISS MADE IN 1959, Ref. 2849 - 10 SC * * * COLLECTOR’S ITEM * * * Omega Seamaster Calendar from my private collection, a beautiful and classic timepiece with a wonderful timeless design. The watch has been manufactured in Switzerland in 1959 and is very hard to find in this original condition, being highly sought after by collectors. I consider the watch to be in excellent condition for its age, it works well and keeps good time. CASE Stainless steel case with the classic beefy lugs that are so characteristic of the earliest Seamasters. The case is in very good vintage condition, with reference 2849 10 SC. It measures 34,5 mm in diameter excluding the omega signed crown, 42 mm lug to lug. The case is in its original condition, untouched, never polished, it really looks superb on the wrist. You will find most of the Seamaster’s cases over polished, but this one preserves its sharp edges. This factor is becoming very uncommon and increases a lot its value as a collectible Omega. The case has only a few light scratches and it has just one a little bigger in one lug, but nothing serious. The embossed Seamaster logo to the rear is in excellent condition. Please, look at the photos to judge the condition by yourself. MOVEMENT This watch has a great in-house movement manufactured by Omega, the 503 caliber with 20 Jewels. This high grade movement is working well, however, as with all vintage watches, a service would be recommended for everyday use. It´s fully signed “Omega Watch Co Swiss”, serial number 17174128 dating from 1959. OMEGA 503 Features automatic sweep second date: set by changing 23-24h Data Dm= 28.0mm, Do= 28.5mm H= 6.4mm F= 2.05mm T= 2.55mm 20 jewels f = 19800 A/h power reserve 46h DIAL Original off-white dial in excellent original condition, highly sought after by collectors. Signed “Omega Automatic”, “Seamaster Calendar” and “Swiss Made”. Guaranteed original factory finish, never restored. It has a beautiful silver markers in excellent condition, very shiny. Amazing dial, much better when you see it live. It’s really hard to find one in this condition. HANDS Classic dauphine silver hands in good vintage condition, keeping the original tritium. CRYSTAL New acrylic crystal in perfect condition. BAND It comes on a NOS (new old stock) Kreisler strap, a high-quality watch band never worn, in mint original condition. I believe it was made between 1960's and 1980's. It is made of genuine lizard leather, in perfect condition, very smooth, flexible and ready to use. This Kreisler band has a much higher quality than the current Chinese lizard bands. Made with the highest quality standards, you can feel it when you wear it on your wrist.
