Bulova chronograph from 1941 with Bulova 13AH – Valjoux 23 caliber Lovely stainless steel 32mm Bulova chronograph from 1941. The watch comes with a cream dial with Arabic black numbers. Two counters, one at 3 o’clock for the minutes and 9 o’clock for the seconds. The watch has a telemeter. The hands are blue and original. The back case is in stainless steel and comes with inside engraved “Bulova Watches” – Stainless Steel – Swiss with the number 214055. The movement has a Bulova watches 13AH – Valjoux 23 caliber with 17 jewels. Also engraved GWX and Swiss. It is a manual winding. The story of Joseph Bulova started in 1875 in the New York area in opening a small jewelry store in the Maiden Lane. Years after years, Bulova offers a full line of watches. In 1926, Bulova introduce a world premier “a practical clock radio”. 1930-1940 is a period of tremendous success for the brand with its rectangular gold-filled wristwatches with highly cambered cases. In the 1950’s, Bulova is the first with electronic watches, the “Accutron”. In 1967, Bulova bought Universal then in 1979 is acquired by Loews Corp. and in 2001bought Wittnauer.
