SUMMARY: A mint condition, Swiss 18k gold and steel, Universal Gilt Shadow automatic wrist watch. This watch is guaranteed to be a genuine Swiss Universal wrist watch, in excellent condition and is signed to the dial, movement, winding crown and the case. This is a beautifully made gent's wrist watch, dating from ca. 1997. The watch is truly in mint condition, having just been overhauled, cleaned and restored by our Rolex trained watch-maker, who is a true perfectionist with his work. THE DIAL: 100% mint, the satin gold dial with luminous markers markers, signed Universal Geneve, Gilt Shadow, Quartz to the centre. Dial with very fine and original hands. Diameter is 29 mm. The original Universal sapphire crystal is also in excellent condition. The dial looks a tiny bit hazy due to reflections from the crystal. THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with polished and highly reflective steel plates. The gold Universal stamped winding button is in perfect condition. This movement is a very fine and original example of Universal classic engineering at its very best. The movement is clearly marked Universal, Geneve, with 7 jewels as shown below. THE CASE: 100% mint, the 18k gold and stainless steel case measures an impressive 35 mm x 42 mm. The front cover is excellent and the watch with a snap on stainless steel rear cover. The case numbers, of 3413933 and 8661383 clearly visible. The gold crown fully marked and working perfectly. THE BRACELET: 100% mint, the watch comes with a 18k gold and stainless steel original Universal bracelet, in excellent condition and this will fit most gent's wrists, with adjustment easily madeand also with U symbol for Universal. The watch is aslo supplied with a fine quality red leatherette presentation box. Overall, this is a very fine and highly desirable Universal Shadow wrist watch, dating from the 1997. The watch keeps excellent time and is very useable for every-day wear or for best wear on holidays and birthdays.
