Linde Werdelin watches are made in Switzerland; the designers are Danish. By combining both analogue and digital technologies, Linde Werdelin produces and manufactures mechanical watches along with instruments for skiing and diving that clip on top of the watch. Linde Werdelin limited and numbered editions of up to 100 pieces. The featured watch describe is a Swiss made Linde Werdelin Spidolite II Tech Green SLTCCG.II1 crafted in ALW & forged carbon with matte finish round case measuring 44mm diameter. Fixed bezel. Automatic movement, power reserve up to ± 42 hours.. Displays a Ceramic Skeleton dial, Two-part skeletonised upper dial, Côtes de Genève lower dial, Inner case crafted in ALW with 25 microns treatment and microbillé and satin finish. Crafted from ultra-lightweight "Alloy Linde Werdelin" and forged carbon, the watch adds something new to the SpidoLite family... It's the aesthetic treatments are what make the SpidoLite II Tech so distinctive though. The case in forged carbon with the black ceramic bezel and green accents. The funky design is carried through to the dial, which is the layered, skeletonized dial ... Here we have black over bronze and silver with green accents and polished steel hands. The hands account for contrast making it really easy to read. Because of all the faceting and texture, the dial catches a lot of light and it's looks bright even in the shade or indoors.. The decoration on the inner case is visible through the openings in the forged carbon outer case. Flanking the crown are "SL" (for SpidoLite) and "ALW"  (for Alloy Linde Werdelin), and on the opposite side you'll find the individual watches number in the limited edition set of 75 (there will be only 75 pieces).. It does wear large for a 44mm watch, but it also wears comfortably, .. The woven and leather strap attached with hex screws and padded with a Tang buckle. To understand what makes the SpidoLite II Tech special, you first need to understand the basic SpidoLite system. The Spido case is comprised of three main components: the inner case, the outer case, and the bezel..The inner case is made of a material called Alloy Linde Werdelin, a metallic composite that is half the weight of titanium and just as strong as steel. This case is then treated with a 25 micron coating to allow the engraving you'll see later that reveals either red or green flashes of color. Attached to that ALW inner case is the semi-skeletonized bezel, which is part of the visual identity of the Spido collection. Then there is the outer case. Here it is forged carbon, a material especially difficult to work with for a geometrically complicated, skeletonized structure like this. Basically, forged carbon is shredded carbon fibers that are molded into a shape, and then compressed under great heat and pressure to create a solid structure. It's very (very) lightweight and hard. It has an almost marble-like surface and the cut and shaped edges are extremely sharp and crisp. Titanium screws secure the outer case to the inner case, with Hytrel polymer disks acting as a buffer and cushion. The result of this combination of materials is an extremely lightweight watch. Just looking at the SpidoLite II Tech, which comes in at 44mm diameter and 15mm thick, you think you're in for a bruiser.
