Back for sale is an absolutely beautiful, like-new, solid 18K gold Frederique Constant Slim Line Automatic watch. The previous buyer did not pay. I got this watch in mid-February 2017 to be my go-to dress watch. MSRP is around $5K. I've worn it just a couple of times to try to break the strap in. It's case is solid 18K gold rose gold, not just gold-plated like most watches you see in that price range. I asked FC how many grams of gold there are in the case, but they have not responded yet. Given where gold is trading now, a big part of the price you'll pay will likely be the value of the precious metal alone. * The dark brown strap is genuine alligator, not just gator print* The crystals are scratch-resistant sapphire on both front and back* I believe the crown is solid gold as well * The buckle is solid gold. * The dial is white with applied rose gold indices. * The movement is a nicely decorated SW 500, or FC's in-house version of it with what looks like a gold-plated rotor. The movement is a high-beat, hacking, manually-winding piece with a power reserve of about a day-and-a half. The case is 38mm without crown and 40mm with the crown. The watch has a nice weight to it despite being less than 8 mm thin because of the solid gold case. FC are a bargain to begin with, but finding a solid-gold, automatic watch from a very respectable brand for less than $3K is quite a bargain. I would know, because I looked for 5 years before I finally decided to pull the trigger on that one. The only other piece that I found was a Tissot T-Gold automatic for $2.2K, but the FC looks much more classy. This piece is the perfect dress watch (it resembles a Patek Calatrava in style): less than 40mm, ultra-thin, solid gold case, alligator strap, very legible. The watch is in great condition with no scratches on the case or crystals. I'll post more pictures shortly.Just for reference, the same specs (solid gold, ultra-thin, automatic) in a JLC, ALS, Patek, AP, LUC or VC would cost you somewhere between a new Honda Civic and an entry-level BMW. FC, despite all their excellent 'manufacture' watches, are not in that category brand-name-wise, but it speaks to how much value you're getting for your buck. So, if you are looking for a great dress piece to add to your collection or as a gift, this is as nice as a watch as I have ever bought. Due to personal reasons, I need to sell the watch and possibly more of what I consider my 'watch grails'. I usually buy well so you might be able to get a decent price on some very high quality pieces. I'll be offering more of my nicest pieces shortly so check my other listings as well.Due to the cost of the watch and for everybody's protection, I'll ship insured and with signature confirmation, so please be sure to have the right address before making an offer or purchasing the watch.  I will only ship to an EBAY/Paypal verified address and will not change the shipping address post purchase. I also reserve the right to cancel any purchases by people with insufficient feedback.
