GENT'S BALL for BMW TMT AUTOMATIC CHRONOMETER (COSC) WATCH Model Number: NT3010C-P3CJ-BKC Limited Edition Number 272 of 1000 These watches were made as a Limited Edition of 1000 to commemmorate Ball's 125 year anniversary and BMW's 100th anniversary. Although listed as being USED, it is in fact brand new and has never been worn.  I purchased it directly from the Ball Watch Company in December 2016 for my private collection.   There is still over 18 months left on the guarantee.  It is complete with the box and all documentation. Solid stainless steel case coated with scratch resistant black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) with a black high grade rubber strap.  The crown is screw-down. The case is 44mm in diameter excluding the crown and 13mm thick.      Black dial with blue accents and a Celcius temperature scale.  The date display is by the 1 o'clock position. The hands and markers have Ball's unique and patented micro gas tubes for night reading that are 100 times brighter than markings using luminous paint. The BALL TMT movement powers the world’s first mechanical thermometer from -35°C to 45°C (-31°F to 113°F) wristwatch. It uses a spiral bimetallic thermometer to measure temperature with 97% accuracy.   The watch is anti-magnetic to 4,700A/m and also has an AMORTISER anti-shock system which is another unique Ball developed and patented system.  Water resistant to 100 metres (10ATM/BAR). Anti-reflective scratch-proof sapphire crystal. Ball RR1601-C Calibre 23 jewelled  automatic movement that is officially certified as a chronometer by the Swiss COSC. BALL WATCH COMPANY was established by Webb C Ball in 1891 to provide accurate time-keeping for the US railroad system.   The company later moved to La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland.   This superb quality and great looking watch exemplifies the Ball Watch Company mission statement "accuracy under adverse conditions".  Only a few of these watches are still available from Ball watch retailers and they are priced from between £4,400 to £4,800.
