Several hours are taken to dismantle, clean, restore, re-oil, and re-assemble the watch. Where possible marks are removed from the watch. The Case is ultra-sonically cleaned, sanitised and disinfected, restored where required, polished, buffed and the movement where required is chemically cleaned and re-oiled. The watch band is brand new. The watch may run fast/slow on arrival. Adjustments may be required which requires the case rear to be opened and adjusting the timing. The Watch is timed in Brisbane Australia, a warm climate. The Timing may vary in different locations and climates and may require adjusting. This is a vintage watch and requires greater care than a modern watch. The watch may occasionally stop when not worn. Antique watches may not have run perfectly when new, and timing variations may have been common. Always wind watch gently and see below for the basic watch keeping information. This is a vintage watch and may run slow/fast depending on your location. The watch is timed for Brisbane Australia and adjustment may be required on delivery. Adjusting the watch is simple, Above the oscillating balance is a fast (F, or +)/slow (S or -) lever. Carefully move the lever towards May Require Oiling every several months/year. Vintage and hand winding watch can stop when not in use and while in use. If a watch stops hold the watch in your fingers and gently rotate fingers to start balance oscillating. Don’t flick the watch. Don’t jar or bump the watch and don’t play sport in the watch. Keep the movement in its case at all times. Take count of the amount of winds to full wind and don’t wind further. If the movement is overwind use the finger oscillating technique above to get the balance moving to unwind the mainspring. At worse remove the movement from the watch and use a very fine brush to gently brush the balance to get the balance oscillating. Do this several times, watching the balance. Once the pressure is release from the spring the balance will start running. Don’t use in damp or wet conditions. Wipe the watch down after each wear. When removing the movement from the case do not force the movement from the case or back into the case. Forcing the movement can break the movement
