Here I have for sale a Bell and Ross 520 S.
A white-dialled uni-compax layout chronograph powered by an ETA base movement with DD chronograph module.
It has literally just returned (18th May) from a £250 service at the well-respected watchmaker known as the Watchbloke. The power reserve was playing up, and he has replaced the mainspring with a new one.
I am selling it to raise funds for another watch I want to buy, this one is from my collection.Duncan has given both the base movement and the DD module a full service and performed a 100m WR test, which it passed. The mainspring was also replaced.Service papers/ 12 month guarantee and old mainspring are of course included.You may not be familiar with the model but it dates from early 2000s and looks to me like a B & R version of the Sinn 103 acryllic, except with uni-compax layout. All of which is a good thing.The crystal is a domed plexi with some lovely distortions when viewed from an angle.The dial is a silvery-creamy-white and slightly metallic,
The dial script print is luxuriously thick and glossy, giving minute added reflections without affecting legibilityThe 60-click bi-directional black bezel has very positive action.
No dial numbers have been nibbled.
It is perfect for my 7 1/4" wrist at 41mm diameter, with short downward lugs (under 47mm lug to lug) so that it sits round the wrist rather than jst on top of it.It is 14.4mm thick, and takes a 20mm strap
There are some shallow marks on the plexi.
And a few on the polished facets of the case. Nothing deep at all.
The lume is pretty good but not exceptional.It comes with a generic black leather strap, but with a genuine B & R deployant buckle, a genuine B & R service case, and the recent Watchbloke service papers.
