FORTIS OFFICIAL COSMONAUTS CHRONOGRAPH PILOT AUTOMATIC 38mm  ref. 602.22.142 LEMANIA 5100 Vintage 1990'sThis is an amazing authentic Fortis Watch Official Cosmonauts Chronograph model ref. 606.22.142 conservatively in Near Perfect Condition with Day/Date, Tachimetre, stop watch, permanent 24 hour hand, permanent small second hand, chronograph second hand, 12 hour counter, chrono minute counter, screw down winding crown, screw down start/stop chonometer crown, and screw down chronograph reset crown. It has the famous movement Lemania 5100 which is now out of production. The watch features an anti-reflective face, sapphire crystal, black dial. The Cosmo Lemania chrono function is an absolute marvel- there are two chrono sweep hands one straight red second hand and one airplane red minute hand- when you start the chrono the large red second hand ricks off the seconds and each time the second hand completes a minute the airplane hand moves forward a minute so you can easily see how many minutes have elapsed. It also features a 24 hour subdial at 12.
Besides the Breitling Cosmonaute and the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch was produced Fortis the third Chronograph that earend its marks in space With the start of the the Space Mission EURO MIR became the Fortis cosmonauts chronograph  Lemania 5100 the standard watch in the the Cosmonaut trainings centre. This is one of the first issues of this particular watch. It was made about 1995. The watch is in great working condition and can be worn in space right away! The reference for this watch is 602.22.142, The automatic Lemania 5100 movement runs at 28.800 beats an hour and features Hours, minutes, small seconds, date, day, Chronograph seconds and minute hand and on top of that the 24 hour sudbial. The case measures 38mm without the original signed screw down crown and pushers. The tachymetre bezel is fixed. The crystal is made of saphire and is scratchfree. The case shows only very minor signs of use. It comes on a new quality leather strap with original Fortis buckle. A piece to last a life-time. It has been regular issue to the Russian astronauts (or indeed cosmonauts as they call them) for the past years. Large satinized stainless steel case with open lugs - this is by far the most comfortable  atch I've ever worn, it really feels like titanium.
