SUMMARY:
A rare and fine mid-18th century Georgian verge fusee pocket watch chantelaine. The chantelaine with 3-color gold plate decoration in very fine and original condition, a very rare and unusual item to find and with the right watch, making both an attractive and valuable combination. Georgian watch chantelaines in this condition, can only rise in value, given the limited supply of such items. We are a Platinium eBay Power-Seller, so please bid with confidence THE CHANTELAINE: 90% mint, with richly gilded finish in wonderful condition. This has a total length of 14.5 cm, with four clasps to the sides, with screwplate nuts to the tops to secure items attached. Likewise a similar clasp to the basal decoration for attaching a pocket watch. The chantelaine consists of a large repousse panel to the top, with white gold vase and floral deoration to the edges, with light rubbing to the centres. Suspended from the top panel are three smaller identical panels also with vase and floral motifs, whioch are well engraved and further enhanced with repousse work finish. Smaller floral panels flank the outsides and a further shaped panel to the base. The rear of the chantelaine in very good condition with little wear if any to the gold plated finish and the clasp for attaching the chantelaine to a waistcoat pocket in good order and attached securely. This is a very fine Georgian period antique in simply stunning condition, which is a very rare collectable item or a possible investment for the future or of course a fine gift for a birthday, anniversary, wedding etc. TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
