An Extremely Difficult and Nearly Impossible to Find Elgin Mermaid & Sea Horse Watch, Just Serviced & Guaranteed Technically marketed as the Touchdown 202 in Elgin sales and marketing material.........This beauty is referred to by Collectors and Collectors Publications as The Mermaid Watch, so named because of the Mermaids Engraved on the Sides of the Bezel and the Sea Horses Engraved on the Bottom of the Bezel. Look through ANY Wrist Watch Collecting Publication and you will see this Elgin Watch Prominently Displayed as "The Mermaid Watch".....Highly Sought After, Highly Collectible.......... Very Scarce, and Very Rare!!! An Elgin Classic "Rarity" and a must-have for any serious Wrist Watch Collector. Right out of my personal collection and one of the best examples that I have ever seen. This Beauty has been tucked away in one of my books for at least the last 20 Years!!! Mint Condition with no brassing or wear any where on the watch. The 14K White Gold Filled Case Measures 32mm's (1.259 inches) from lug tip to tip and 25mm's (.984 inches) Wide not Including the Crown. A "Newly" Refinished dial that is excellent, gold embossed numerals and luminous hands and marker dots. A New Old Stock Glass Crystal hes been fitted that is Clean and Crystal Clear and a New 16mm Stitched Black Leather band has been fitted that measures 7 3/8 inches from the Buckle to the Third Hole. The 10/0 1927 Movement and the Three Piece Case are all Original and Factory Correct. The last 4 Digits of the Case Back S/N are stamped into the Case Center and Scribed on the Inside of the Bezel. The Movement Serial Number dates it to 1927, It has just been serviced and it Winds, Sets, Runs and Keeps Great Time.
