Hi all !I have up for sale a unique timepiece, that is coming from the past in the time machine. It is an 18k solid gold chronograph, Swiss Made Lucien Rochat, with the Valjoux 88 full calendar and moonphase complication mechanism. It is incredible to find such a NOS sample, never worn, in its original wooden box, with tag and original setting pin.The case is a classic style body, made of solid 18k gold, with pivoting lugs and knurled side all around. Its diameter without crown and buttons is 36 mm, the pivoting lugs are for an 18mm strap. The original crocodile strap with branded buckle is in pristine conditions. It has the protective paint on the bottom of the case and no scratch. Some handling signs after around 25 years in and out from safe, but BRAND NEW after all this time. The price tag reports Lit. 7.200.000 of the age, that were in 1990 more than 6,000 US$ !!!It is never opened, and I will not be the first one just to take a picture. I guarantee that the mechanism inside is an original VALJOUX 886/88, 17 jewels, pillar wheel. The machine inside is the latest version of VALJOUX 88, the 886, upgraded from 18.000 to 21.600 a/h. I am a LUCIEN ROCHAT collector, then I really know what I am talking about.A little about VALJOUX 88. Around 1974 their production became too expensive, and the quartz crisis that hit the Swiss watch industry gave the final blow to these refined mechanisms, that were the top line of the 50s and 60s.At the beginning of the 90's many brands revived the complicated watches, acquired the stored stocks and put on their lines at least one model of this full calendar, TAG, IWC, LONGINES, PAUL PICOT, ULYSSE NARDIN, plus a lot of smaller firms. It is the Holy Graal of chronograph collectors, and I never saw one in these conditions.Compared to the prices actually on the Bay, I am selling very cheap, so, you better do not miss it !
